Pizza Competition Semifinal in Playa del Carmen with California Milk
As sponsors of the 4th edition of the Mexican Pizza Championship, Real California Milk and the Italian Chamber of Commerce welcomed contestants in Playa del Carmen on July 10th. Eight pizza chefs from different cities in Yucatán and Quintana Roo participated for the chance to be part of the Final.
The event took place in “La Trattoria del Centro” and each contestant had only 10 minutes to prepare pizza in two styles: One a classic Margarita and the second a creative opportunity to surprise the judges.
We tasted pizza with dough that had been resting for over 24 hours, as well as tomato sauces and cheeses made by the pizza chefs.
Winners of the first regional Semi Final in Playa del Carmen:

Winners of the regional Semi Final in Guadalajara:
- Diego Armando Jauregui Gaetán -Pizzería Nápoles.
- Efrén O. Ríos – Bottega della Pasta y Bottega Napulé.
